June Favorites 2014

June and July flew by so fast but luckily I took pics of my favorites.

1) LUSH Sea Salt spray - I loved this sea salt spray. It smelled amazing and gave my hair so much texture. I loved using it before braids and messy buns. I’m a strong believer in sea salt sprays now!

2) Bioderma - I’m so sad because I’m almost out of this but luckily I’m going to Europe at the end of September so I plan on stocking up when I’m in France. It’s one of the best make up removers I’ve ever used.

3) L’Oreal Sublime Glow - I used to be all about tanned skin and then I stopped but this summer I definitely got back into it but this time used fake tan. This lotion gradually made me darker and everyone was asking if I was going to the beach more. Although I hated the smell, I feel like Jergens is worse but the results were worth it.

4) CoverGirl Cheeksters Blush in Pretty Peach - This was my go-to blush everyday for work. It’s so easy and blends nicely. I also liked that it had a sheen to it so it gave me a nice glow, especially with my tanned skin.

5) Sasatinnie blush in Rosy Pink - This is such a pretty pink ombre blush. It does have shimmer so I would use the lighter side as a highlight. I love it! I wish they had Sasa in the states. I guess next time I go to Asia, I’ll need to stock up!

6) Tarte Bronzer in Park Ave Princess - Loved this bronzer! It has a little shimmer also but it’s not noticeable. I would use it to bronze or contour, it’s perfect.

7) MAC Eye shadow in Mulch - This is one of the most versatile shadows I own. You can use it all over the lid, or in the crease, or use it around the entire eye for a smokey look. It’s the perfect bronze color.

8) MAC Eye shadow in All That Glitters - I wore this on my lid A LOT. It’s such a pretty color.

9) MAC Eye shadow in Nylon - I would only use this on my inner corners since it’s very frosty but it made my eyes pop.

10) MAC Lip pencil in Spice - If you’re looking for the perfect Kylie Jenner lip color, this is it! I would just use this all over my lips and it was that perfect matte rosy brown color that’s in right now.

June Birchbox 2014

June’s theme was “Away We Go” so samples were meant to be travel ready - but let’s be real we already used samples for traveling lol

 

1) Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real mascara - This is one of my holy grail mascaras so I’m glad I received a mini especially since I’ll be going to Europe at the end of September. Full size is 8.5g & $23. This sample is 3g. Birchbox Value: $8.12

2) Catherine Malandrino Fragrance - This smells like Jimmy Choo’s perfume to me but more musky and more mature aka like a grandma. I love the Jimmy Choo one and this one’s just not great. Full size is 3.4oz & $110. This sample is 0.05oz. Birchbox Value: $1.62

3) Caudalie Polyphenol C15 Anti-Wrinkle Defense Serum - I really like Caudalie and love anti-aging samples so we’ll see how long this little baby bottle lasts. Full size is 30ml & $62. This sample is 2ml. Birchbox Value: $4.13

4) Davines Love Smoothing Shampoo, Conditioner, and Ol All in One Milk - I love that the shampoo is a good sample size. I’m hoping to get 2 uses out of it since I have A LOT of hair. But I hate that the conditioner & leave-in treatment are in foil packets.

Overdue May Empties 2014

Yes a few months late so expect a few Empties posts!

1) Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship Shampoo for long hair - This was made specifically for long hair, with keratin protection and raspberry and silk extracts but honestly this worked like a normal shampoo. It cleaned my hair pretty well but I didn’t notice anything else. I wouldn’t repurchase this.

2) Bath & Body Works Fragrance Mist in Pomegranate Citrus - I’ve had this scent forever and it was limited edition. It’s a typical fruity citrus scent. I’m sure BBW will come out, if they haven’t already, with a similar smelling product. It was ok. I’m more into sweater and muskier scents now so I wouldn’t repurchase this if they brought it back.

3) Bath & Body Works Anti-Bacterial Moisturizing Hand Soap in Twisted Peppermint - This is one of my all time favorite holiday scents! I always have back ups and this was the last thing I had of Twisted Peppermint so best believe I will be stocking up again soon when it comes back.

4) Bath & Body Works 3-wick candle in Market Peach - I love this candle! I pretty much buy it every year when they bring it back. It just smells like sweet peaches. I love it for spring and summer.

5) Bath & Body Works 3-wick candle in Raspberry Peach Macaroon -This is one of my favorite candle scents! I have one more back up that I plan on burning soon. They better bring this one back! It smells like a sweet bakery.

6) LUSH shower gel in Rose Jam - I LOVE this scent! I have 2 more big bottles. It was limited edition last Holiday season so they need to bring it back this year! It smells like candy and roses to me.

7) Mary Kay Time Wise Day Solution - I liked this since it had SPF and it moisturized well. I like using anti aging products since it’s all about prevention! If I could find someone selling this again I’d repurchase it.

8) Mary Kay Time Wise Night Solution - I liked this as well. It was a gel so I didn’t feel greasy at night.

9) See by Chloe - This was a 100-point perk from Sephora and I loved it! I will definitely be buying the full size in the future. It’s the perfect sweet musky scent that I love. It has jasmine, vanilla, and musk.

10) Smashbox Photo Finish Blemish Control Primer - I was really excited to try this since I love Smashbox’s primers but I must say I like other formulas better than this. This didn’t do anything for my blemishes and I wasn’t crazy about how it felt on my skin. I definitely like the original and “light” formulas better.

11) Bath & Body Works PocketBac in Stress Relief Eucalyptus Spearmint - I loved this so much I bought the full size.

12) Bath & Body Works mini candle in Pumpkin Pecan Waffles - I already bought 2 3-wick candles of this scent since they’ve brought it back for fall. Obsessed.

13) Someday by Justin Bieber Body Lotion - LOL

14) L’Oreal Feria Power Shimmer Conditioner - I dyed my hair in February and I love this boxed dye. It’s the only one I use.

15) L’Oreal Feria Conditioning Shampoo - I also ombre’d my hair in May and I was in love with the results. So easy to use!

16) Smashbox O-Plump lip plumper - I used to be obsessed with this. This was probably my third of fourth one of these but I’ve discovered other lip plumpers so I’m still trying to figure out my favorite.

17) Supersmile Ultimate Lip Treatment - I got this baby sample in a Birchbox and it was ok. Definitely didn’t get enough product to see if I truly liked it or not.

18) Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On pencil in Zero - Loved this black eye liner. However it didn’t last on my lower lash line. I loved how easy it glided on my eye lid though. I would either use something else on my lower lash line or would really set it with black eye shadow. I own a couple of other colors.

19) Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara - LOVE this! Will definitely purchase the full size once I finish some back up mascaras I have right now.

20) Colgate Optic White Whitening Pen - Don’t waste your money.

21) Bath & Body Works Wallflower bulb in Cheers To Capri - Not going to lie, I only bought this because I’ve been to Capri. It was a nice summery citrus scent.

22) Bath & Body Works Wallflower bulb in Rio Glow - This was kind of floral and fruity. I liked it but it kind of gave me a headache.

Overdue May Favorites 2014

I haven’t posted since May so I’ll be playing catch up…luckily I took photos!

1) Bath & Body Works Exotic Coconut shower gel - This is a classic BBW scent. It’s always online & they bring it back for the semi-annual sales. I love it. It smells like pure coconuts - the perfect summer scent.

2) LUSH Rock Star soap - I love Lush’s soaps & this is one of my all time favorites. It smells just like cherry coke.

3) LUSH Big shampoo - This is one of my must haves from Lush. I especially love using this in the summer for its scent. It smells just like limes and sea salt. It also gives my hair a lot of volume!

4) Julep nail polish in Anne - I had this on my toes for so long! It is the perfect purple and I love that Julep’s nail polishes are opaque after one coat!

5) Bath & Body Works 3-wick candle in Cinnamon Sugared Donut - I LOVE this candle! I wish it was a year round scent. I just ordered Pumpkin Sugared Donut for the Fall so I can’t wait to smell that one! Hopefully it’s just as good as this one.

6) Smashbox Blush Rush in Paradise - This is a gorgeous golden peach that is so pigmented and has the right amount of shimmer. This was perfect for summer.

7) Laura Mercier Foundation Primer - Loved this primer. It kept my face matte and made my foundation apply so smoothly. I will probably end up buying the full size.

8) YSL Dessin Du Regard Eye Pencil Waterproof in Black - This is by far the softest creamiest eye liner I have ever tried! It slides on so smoothly and is the blackest black. It does smudge though if you don’t set it so I would just smudge it out a little with MAC’s carbon eye shadow.

9) YSL Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils Shocking in Black - This was an amazing mascara. It gave my lashes so much volume but for the price I won’t be purchasing the full size.

10) Garnier BB Cream in Deep - This is a great drugstore BB Cream. I got this for free from BzzAgent but I would definitely buy this with my own money. This is a darker BB Cream but it was perfect with a tan or to mix with my lighter foundations. It makes my skin look flawless but still natural.
