LUSH Easter Haul

I always go crazy when limited edition stuff comes out at LUSH (like Valentine’s Day when I bought every single item from the collection) This time I was good and only bought 3 products from the Easter Collection

1) Bunny bubble bar - This is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen at LUSH. I almost don’t want to use him because he’s so cute. He smells just like candy….lol “he” This will definitely be on display for awhile before I can get myself to use it.

2) The Immaculate Eggception - This is a 3 in 1 bath bomb so it was a little more expensive than the other ones. This smells just like vanilla and like something I’ve used from LUSH before (maybe another Easter product from years past) I can’t wait to see what kind of bath bomb is in the middle.

3) Golden Egg - I went on a mission to find this. I live by a LUSH about 25 minutes away and in the opposite direction, another LUSH is about 35 minutes from me. Of course the closer Lush was sold out of this but luckily the other LUSH had a bunch (I almost bought 2) This is a bath bomb AND a bath melt! So I can’t wait to see what this ends up like. It smells just like honey and toffee.

I would definitely go by your local LUSH to see if they have anymore of these products. They have some products still online. Both LUSH stores I went to still had the Valentine’s Day soap.

My Easter Nails 2014

This year I decided to finally use some press on nails I’ve had lying around. I had purchased these “Crystaltastic Nails” from Nails Inc London on the Sephora website a few months ago. These were normally $30 but I got them for $17 (They are still in the sale section on sephora.com and they have other cute styles!) I’m not usually a fan of press on nails but I was running late for church this morning so I threw these on. They come with 24 nails and some sticky tabs and nail glue. I couldn’t open the nail glue to save my life so I used the sticky tabs and they’re pretty strong!

They lasted all day but I just took them off because I cannot type with long nails and I’m catching up with all of my posts this evening. I like the fact that I can save these and will be able to use them for another event. I think the reason I didn’t like press ons in the past is because they always made my nails look super fake and big. Since I have tiny nails, these were perfect (sorry if you have bigger nails!) I noticed on the review section on sephora.com everyone complained they were too small but it you have small nails these are perfect! The smallest nail fit my pinky nail perfectly and I used the second biggest size for my thumbs.

I loved the design of these and the other ones on the site look so cute as well! I might pick more up because this morning I realized press on nails are perfect for when you’re running late and when you need something for just the day.

March 2014 Empties

Super late but still held onto what I finished in March aka trash lol

1) Suave Kids Detangling Spray in Double Dutch Apple - Love this stuff! It was in my 2013 Favorites post. I need this since my super long hair always gets tangled! Already repurchased and will forever repurchase.

2) Bath & Body Works Paris Nights Shimmer Spray - This was my last back up of the scent Paris Nights. I had previously finished the shower gel and lotion. I’m sad I don’t own this scent anymore but so glad I finished my last shimmer spray. I don’t care how pretty it is, I will never purchase another shimmer spray again! lol

3) Zoya Remove+ - I love this nail polish remover. It’s gentle and gets the job done. This was the second one of these I’ve finished and I will definitely be repurchasing this in the future once I finish some other removers I have right now.

4) Exchange Select Nail Polish Remover 100% Acetone - This is a store brand and was like 99 cents. I like to have acetone on hand for removing glitter. I will probably end up buying this again since it’s so cheap.

5) Bath & Body Works Triple Moisture Body Cream in Coconut Lime Breeze - I love the formula of these and liked the scent at first but now it kind of makes me sick. I love coconut and lime scents but this had a floral scent also, which just made it bad towards the end. I won’t be repurchasing this scent.

6) Philosophy Purity - Love this cleanser! I’ve gone through so many of these I’ve lost count. I’m trying out other cleansers right now but most likely I will be repurchasing this again at some point. (Hopefully Sephora will be selling them for $10 again on Black Friday)

7) Bath & Body Works 3-wick candle in Red Velvet - I was not a fan of this. It smelled like a burnt down bakery to me. I was hoping it would have that chocolate with cream cheese frosting scent and it sure didn’t. Will not be repurchasing this if they ever bring it back.

8) Bath & Body Works Shower Gel in Country Apple - This scent brings back so many childhood memories. My mom would by this and it just brings me back to like junior high time. They don’t sell this scent anymore but they brought it back during the semi annual sale along with a few other old time scents. I would repurchase this again if they brought it back.

9) Coconut Willie Honolulu Hawaii Pure Coconut Oil - I bought this in Hawaii awhile back and I would use it as a tanning oil and a hair treatment. I am absolutely obsessed with coconut oil now. I now use the one from Trader Joe’s. So far all coconut oil is the same to me so brands don’t matter to me for this one.
10) St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub - Love this stuff as well! I also go back to it. I would say it’s my favorite drug store exfoliator. Again I am trying out other scrubs right now but will probably end up going back to this at some point.

11) Matrix Vavoom Take Me Higher Root Riser - I love using root lifters before drying my hair to create volume. This one was good but I will probably end up repurchasing my holy grail Big Sexy Hair. I like the scent of that one better.

12) Gucci By Gucci Perfumed Body Lotion - I found this in my closet and was really happy because they stopped making this scent. Although I love the scent, I’m not a fan of the perfumed lotions - they’re so thin and don’t moisturize at all.

13) Bath & Body Works Wallflowers refill bulb in Pineapple Mango - I LOVE this scent, especially for Spring & Summer so it was nice to use this while the seasons changed. I will definitely repurchase again (like I do every year)

14 & 15) CLEAR Total Care Nourishing Shampoo & Conditioner - I love CLEAR products and have a lot of these travel sized ones but I have gone through the full sized also. They make my hair feel clean but still nourished. I will definitely repurchase once I finish some other back ups.

16) MAKE UP FOREVER 5 Camouflage Cream Palette - This took me soooo long to finish! I’m so glad I’m done with it. Even though I loved it, the shades were too light for me so I tried to finish it up in winter. It had 3 skin tone shades, a salmon colored shade, and a green shade for blemishes. I finished the salmon shade a long time ago and finally finished the skin tone shades in the middle of winter. The green shade was finally used up in March since I never really used it. I would definitely repurchase but in a darker shade.

17) Yes To Grapefruit Dark Circle Correcting Eye Cream - I really liked this eye cream for my dark circles but noticed it wasn’t as moisturizing as I wanted it to be. It is good consistency but I now like to use something thicker. I’m now concentrating on keeping my under eyes hydrated but if I ever want something more towards dark circles, then I would pick this up again.

18) Buxom Lash Mascara - I’ve gone through so many samples of this and every time it’s the same. At first I like it but then it stops working. Usually mascaras get better after using it but this is the opposite. It dries out quickly. I’m going to try to avoid these samples from now on.

19) Eyeko London Black Magic Mascara - I did not like this at all. It did nothing for my lashes. Thankfully I got it for free in a Birchbox.

20) Vasanti Brighten Up! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator - I really liked this! I also got this in a Birchbox and will definitely look into purchasing the full size. It made my skin feel so soft after using it.

21) Josie Maran Argan Cleansing Oil - I love cleansing oils and this one was really good. I wish it was better at taking off eye make up, but for the face it really broke down all of the concealer, foundation, and powder that I use. I have other sample sizes of this but will probably end up purchasing it.

22) Bath & Body Works Pocketbac In Lemon Meringue Cheer - I love lemon scented hand sanitizers and this was a good Holiday one. Hopefully they bring this back next year!

23) Benefit Hoola bronzer - I have been living under a rock - this bronzer really is amazing! I will definitely be buying the full size once I finish up some bronzers that I have right now.

24) Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer - I LOVE THIS PRIMER! I have another sample back up but once I finish that I will be purchasing the full size. It literally makes your skin look and feel flawless. Definitely worth the price tag.

25) Tarte Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Eye Base - This was an amazing eye primer and lasted forever! I have other eye primers that I’m trying out right now but Tarte definitely knows their eye primers!

26) PureDKNY - This was a nice clean fresh scent but I didn’t like it enough to actually purchase the full size. But if I ever get another sample I will not be complaining

27) Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue - Love this scent! I have the full size and I’ve gone through lots of samples and rollerball sprays. When I finish my full size, I will definitely pick it up again.

28) Josie Maran Argan Lip Treatment - I loved this lip balm. It made my lips smooth and gave it a nice sheen. I got it from the 500 point perk at Sephora so I’m not sure if I can get myself to pay $18 for it!

March 2014 Favorites

This is super late but I still wanted to share my March Favorites & Empties (which will be my next post!)

1) Salon Grafix Spray Powder Shampoo for Brunette Shades - This was the first dry shampoo I tried years ago and I decided to give it another go. And I love it! It makes my roots look clean and doesn’t give me a gray cast. I’ll have to compare it to my holy grail Batiste - it’s a pretty close second at the moment and who knows I might end up liking this better in the long run.

2) The Body Shop Lemon Body Scrub - I love all of The Body Shop body scrubs but I’m especially loving this lemon scent for the spring! It’s so refreshing and with the gloomy weather, it really lifts up your spirits. Plus it’s an amazing exfoliator! It really makes your skin super smooth.

3) Suki Exfoliate Foaming Cleanser - I got a sample of this from Birchbox and fell in love with it! But it’s expensive so I held off on purchasing it but then got enough Birchbox points and was able to get it for 3 bucks! (it’s normally $32.95) This exfoliator starts off as a scrub but then foams up into an amazing lather. It makes my face feel so clean and soft. It also has an amazing lemon scent as well!

4) Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy & Viva La Juicy Le Fleur Rollerball Duo - I always have a rollerball in my purse and started using this in March. I’ve always been a fan of Viva La Juicy but I’m the type that gets bore of a scent. Rollerball duos are the best invention ever! I love that I can switch between the 2 and both smell absolutely delicious. And in case you’re wondering I do have the full size of both of these scents.

5) See By Chloe - I’ve smelled the regular Chloe scent and I thought it was a bit too mature for my taste. This is like Chloe’s younger, fun sister lol The first note is jasmine and that’s probably why I love it so much. This is a deluxe sized sample but I will definitely be purchasing the full size in the future.

6) Essence Sun Club 100% Splash-Proof Eyeliner Pen in 01 Ultra Black - I got this for free at a Justin Bieber concert (lol) but Essence is such an inexpensive brand and this is a pretty good eyeliner. It’s the only liquid eyeliner I have right now and it works so well. The pen makes it so easy to use and the tip is very fine making the lines look extra crisp. Not to mention it is super black, which is usually a miss when it comes to cheap brands.

7) Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara - OMG! This is my new holy grail mascara! I used to use Too Faced Lash Injection, then found Benefit They’re Real but now I will for sure be buying the full size of this. It makes my lashes look so full and thick!

8) Cargo Mini Bronzer in Medium - I love this shimmery bronzer on days I don’t have time to use a matte bronzer, a blush, and a highlighter. I can just sweep this on my cheeks and it gives me a beautiful glow.

9) Nivea Lip Butter in Vanilla & Macadamia Kiss - This lip balm is literally the best smelling lip balm in the history of lip balms. It also makes my lips super soft. There’s a lot of product in this so this is going to last forever!

10) Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel - I always used a wax before but would keep this in my purse in case can unruly hairs moved throughout the day but lately I would use this instead of the wax and it works so much better! I got this sample from a Sephora but I will definitely be purchasing the full size

Yikes this was so late but I have OCD and it would really bug me if I didn’t post this lol

March 2014 Birchbox

Well March flew by like nobody’s business so my Birchbox post is super late! Let’s just get right into it:
1) Coola: Tinted Matte SPF 30 for Face - I could always use a new SPF. I’ve seen reviews saying this is really yellow but luckily I have yellow undertones so hopefully it works out for me. Full size is 1.7oz & $36. This sample is .17oz Birchbox Value: $3.60

2) Gilchrist & Soames: London Collection Body Lotion - Anything from London, I automatically love it. This lotion has a nice clean scent and it’s a pretty good sample size, perfect for travelling. I might save it for my trip to London this year! lol Full size is 8oz & $16. This sample is 1.5oz Birchbox Value: $3
3) Jurlique: Herbal Recovery Advanced Serum - I love the brand Jurlique so I’m excited to try this serum. It has antioxidants to treat early signs of aging so hopefully I can notice a difference with this sample. Full size is 1oz & $54 (yikes!) This sample is .17oz Birchbox Value: $9.18
4) Obliphica Professional: Treatment Hair Serum - I love hair serums and trying new things to make my hair more healthy looking. This claims to rejuvenate dry and damaged hair so we’ll see if it helps my dry ends. Full size is 2.2oz & $38. This sample is 0.5oz Birchbox Value: $8.64
5) “Beauty Extra” Jurlique Herbal Recovery Night Cream - It wouldn’t be a Birchbox without a foil packet! I wish Birchbox would’ve taken the extra step and had given us a DELUXE size of this, especially because we got a bigger size of the other Jurlique product, which is actually more expensive than this item! Full size is 1.6oz & $51. This sample is 0.07oz Birchbox Value: $2.23
6) Ghirardelli: Cherry Tango Square - This was a nice little treat. I ate it as soon as I took the picture and it was a yummy dark chocolate with little bits of almond and a faint cherry taste. I enjoyed it.

Total Birchbox Value (not including the chocolate): $26.65
